Privately owned Holiday Inn Complaint - Holiday Inn...No way!

Review by motoprofe on 2009-11-02
ROCKFALLS, ILLINOIS -- Who is paying who to keep this a Holiday Inn? Its flunked the previous 6 inspections, had a rescent bank take over. It breaks the federal law on pool safety..drain covers are not secure and the auto pump shutoff is improperly installed so it won't work in an emergency! The ceiling in the pool room is about to fall in, the patio doors are bolted shut cause they fall out! The clorinator doesn't work and the filter leaks and the pool is in dire need of paint...soft water could help! Second floor rooms can't even be used for guests because they leak water from the roof and are full of mold and mildew in the walls, further more these rooms that are not used are usually stripped of parts for other guest rooms in need of repair, in order to save money. If the eletricity goes out...you will be in the dark for sure cause many of the emergency lights don't work. This place reminds me of one of those old hotels that turns into efficiency apartments a few years before they get torn down. The list goes on...want some example rooms...ask to see room 226 or 252...SHOCK....or go to the pool room and look up. You could rent one of their banquet rooms, room D...if its not raining. The eletronic locks are pretty old, first ones that came out back in the 70's so most don't work right. All in all, insurance frauders will fall in love with this place. So many accidents waiting to happen and so little management. Cant believe the bank owner hired a hotel management group to over see the hotel...woops! wonder how much they get payed? All in all this is not a real Holiday Inn, it is far from ever meeting the standards of Americas best chain of Hotels. Bottom line...the name Holiday Inn should be pulled!

It sounds like this site is a part of the one that got kicked out of the franchise but continues to use the the name until Holiday Inn comes in with lawyers and workers to knock them down.

Holiday Inn did not realize until an employee called in both the board of health and the media that this place wasn't using the name on signs and everything else. (the owners had told them that they had changed the name to the "Carriage Hotel" and had doctored pictures to prove it.) after they got involved again the company that owns Holiday Inn made sure that every remnants of the name was gone. (or at least covered up.) but they really didn't know.

...the so called manager of this Holiday Inn got rid of all the people who really knew her, and hired her boy friend to run maintenance, and since she is also the accountant there, you can only imagine how much frosting shes getting of the top of the cake..she may have those hotel people from Chicago fooled..but we here in Rockfalls know who and what she is doing..you have heard of Jack the ripper..well she is Coni the ripoff...dont worry we will pray for her! But at the moment the bank is bending over for her! Merry Xmas all and dont stay there!

Sounds like some disgruntled employees here. Hope your libel insurance is up to date.
