DirecTV Inc Complaint - Ghost charges. - Cable
I moved from one place to a new house and when I called the company to cancel my service they offer me to "move" my service since I was a customer for more than 4 years, in fact they offer me new receiver boxes since their service now was "digital". I thought this was a great oportunity. Once in my new place they came and installed as promise my "trasfer service" gave me my two new receivers and all was OK!!! WELL so far. After 9 months on my new place I decided to move again and in the new building there is no Direct TV service and I had no choice but to cancel this time, I was told I could not cancel without getting "penalize" since I was a new customer and the service was less than a year old. I explained to them that I was their customer for more than 4-1/2 years and this was not possible because I just recently moved my service. No matter how hard I tried they still charged me more than $150.00 "FOR AN EARLY CANCELLATION" not only that after WITHOUT my permission they automaticly charged my Credit card, for their early termination fee they also gave me a $28.00 fee for "some movies I had ordered under my previus account but they never charge!!!!" how was this possible nobody in their company could explain to me and they just told me they were sorry for this situation but the charges will still apply!!!
In other words after almost five years of being their customer they charged me almost $200.00 because I said good by to them. I will never use their service again!!!
