Hampton Inn Complaint - Laundry Service
SHELBY, NORTH CAROLINA -- We are on vacation in North Carolina at the Hampton Inn in Shely. In their Guest information directory they stated the following:
Dry cleaning and Laundry-For your convenience, a laundry bag is provided in each room. If you are staying more than one night at our hotel, we have a dry cleaning service available. The items will need to be brought to the front desk before 8am and will be delivered to you the same day before 5:50 pm.
We picked up our laundry which consisted of 3 pairs of boxer shorts, 1 sports bra, 6 pair of socks, 2 pair of blue jeans, and 5 pair of shorts (3 blue jean shorts)and 6 pair of tee shirts. These clothes were laundry only and nothing to be dry cleaned and out bill was $67.00. When I complained to the front desk the bill came down to $ 52.00. I do not agree with this. In the first place this was just some clothes on suits or anything. In the guest book they did not indicate there would be a price to do laundry. I think this is misleading because in the guest book they have a fax service and they state that there is a minimal fee for the fax service, but it doesn't state that in the laundry section.
This is crap.
To help keep me as a potential future customer, I would like the following:
I want to be reimbursed or have some type of compensation. This is highway robbery.
At the very least I would like a response from your company regarding this incident.
