Meijer, Inc. Complaint - Where was the Greeter?
Meijer is one of my favorite stores. Friendly people, clean facilities, and, as their commercials say, there's "a million reasons" to shop there.
Today, however, when I entered the store, the Greeter was no where to be found. I did not receive the customary "Hello! Welcome to Meijer!" upon entering. How completely disappointing.
After completing my purchase of nearly $200, as I was leaving, I saw the Greeter had returned, but she was standing away from the doors, near the cherries and apricots. She didn't wave, say good-bye, or thank me for having spent my money there. There were no wishes of "have a good day" extended to me.
If THIS is how Fred Meijer wants to run his stores now, fine, I can take my business just a bit farther down the road to the D&W.
It was simply disgusting, and now I do not feel I can enjoy ANY of the stuff I bought there. I might as well take it back. WILL THE GREETER BE THERE IF I DO? WILL I GET A "HELLO" AND A "GOOD-BYE"?
