Wal-Mart Complaint - Rude manager
Resolution Update on 11/06/2009:
After calling the district and corporate offices, the manager finally called me back. He apologized for taking so long to get back to me, and apologized for his behavior, admitting that he was "probablly in a bad mood or something."
SARATOGA, NEW YORK -- I was in the Saratoga Walmart store on 10-29-09 and was attempting to purchase some items with my Walmart credit card. I had noticed a flier advertising 0% intrest on purchases over $300 if you used your Walmart credit card. I was very happy that they were offering this, and decided to take advantage of such a great promotion. When I went to pay for my items, the young cashier told me that I was not eliglble for the 0% intrest because it was only for new accounts. I explained to her (and showed her) that it did not say that on the flier that she needed to scan. She called a manager who admitted she did not know either, so she called another manager. He came over, and RUDELY told me that I was not eligible, and he knew this from speaking to the people at headquarters in Arkanasa. He then took the flier from my hands, and refused to give it back when I asked him to. I left the store and after speaking with Walmart Credit services (who told me that existing customers WERE eliglble) I returned to the store with my husband. The manager who was so rude to me was respectful to my husband. We purchased the items and the manager did not apologize to me - even after I was told by the store manager that he would. I could not believe that I had been treated that way when I was trying to make a purchase! Seriously - in this recession, stores need to treat their customers with a little kindness.
