Comcast Corporation Complaint - Comcast Disconnects my Direct TV Connection
My upstairs neighbor decided to get Comcast and technicians came to our home for their install. After they left, our Direct TV no longer worked. It had worked fine before Comcast had arrived. I called Comcast and the Video Technical Department said that the technicians are trained to cut or disable the wires if they find that the wires used have Comcast tags. No warning to the consumer that their TV service will be discontinued. No admission that they were at any fault for leaving the wires in our house. Question: Is it ok for Direct TV to utilize wires that are already there? Question: Does Comcast still "own" the wires in our home after service is discontinued? If so, why don't they remove them? They apparently just instruct the technicians to disable the Direct TV customers service. Unbelievable. Do they think that they are making friends and winning customers with such a policy? Now I've been on the phone with Direct TV for 2 hours trying to get them to come out and restore service.
