Priceline.com Complaint - Priceline should be named "Rip off line"
So I go to Priceline.com and all over their site it states repeatedly " lowest price guaranteed" or "save upto 50%" so that makes me feel that I would be receiving some sort of a deal. I entered a price of $150.00 for a hotel close to Disneyland and Priceline found me a "suite" and the price after tax was $187.00. So I'm thinking that I must've gotten a room that is normally more than the price I paid. When we checked into the hotel I asked the conscierge "how Much does this room usually go for?" and he said "oh, it's regularly $109.00 a night." and so I said " yeah but I have a suite right?" he said "nope". So I get to the room and it's a glorified motel 6 with 2 beds instead of the king size bed I was told I got through priceline.com. I went to the web site and found a number to call ( which wasn't easy at all!) and after 45 min on the phone talking to an incompitant idiot or on hold, I finally spoke with manager who had to call the hotel and speak with a person to verify the actual price. After all of this, I am suppose to receive a refund for the difference in ten days. I'm not holding my breath. Oh and I also will get $10 of a hotel room a night for upto 5 nights to use only on Priceline.com for my inconvenience. I will NEVER use Priceline.com again.
