Ride Safely.com Informative - Buyers Beware - Auto Insurance Auction

Review by KNOW NOW on 2009-11-09
Buyers beware:i bought a vehicle thru ride safely recently. In doing so I learned a big lesson. I live in colorado and bought a vehicle in philadelphia. The problem started when I contacted their (token) transporter. They are nothing but a transport broker, depending on independent haulers to deliver the vehicles. If nobody is available or nobody wants the load then your vehicle sits there racking up storage fees. I was completely at every body's mercy and really I got the feeling nobody cared. My good deal on a vehicle wasn't all that good after all the storage fee's and transport.

My advice is don't buy it if you can't go and get it yourself. And by the way expect to talk to some very rude people at that transport broker.

Op, don't buy ANYTHING that you need shipped by freight unless you are willing to pay the fees. One, freight is NOT cheap. Two, someone has to have space for that load in order to take it. A transport company is NOT the USPS or UPS.

Never buy something out of your state that you can not wait for or can not go get yourself.
