Target Complaint - Target Extended Service Plans on Electronics
Dec.2007 I purchased 2 portable DVD players as gifts and purchased 2- 3yr extended service plans as well. On the plans, it says "No hidden fees, no hassles". WRONG!! I called in Oct. 2009 because neither DVD player was working anymore. One had water spilled on it at one time, the customer serv male representative that helped me was very kind, sent me a Target gift card immediately to reimburse for that one. The 2nd DVD player, I had no clue what might have caused it to quit working, so he (the rep) told me to buy a new charger and try that, if it didn't work, call them back and they would make right on the 2nd ext serv plan. I did exactly what he told me, it didn't charge, so I called back Nov.2009 to make claim on the 2nd DVD player. The female representative I got that time was very rude, refused to help me (she was focusd on the story of liquid damage to the one I was already reimbursed for). I requested her supervisor, who in turn was the exact same way, TERRIBLE customer service. I requested yet another supervisor, who called me back 2 days later, adv me she would make a decision in 3 days and call me back, that was 6 days ago! I have called Target headquarters twice, no response so far. $99. That is all the reimbursement is. I refuse to let this die because I am honest and I paid for the extended service plan.
