Best Buy Complaint - Problems with Best Buy and the Geeks
SURPRISE, ARIZONA -- I purchased a home theater system from Best Buy. The equipment is great and no problem with that. They came out to install. They did not have the equipment needed to complete the install. Said they would be back as soon as we could purchase 100 feet of antenna. We ordered that and called for them to come out again to finish the project. Wait, wait not call to come back. Called the Person that came out and sold us the equipment. "I am so glad you called me, I will get someone out as soon as possible, let me call you right back" NO call, no calls no finish the job.
Called him back left message....no calls back. Now we have stayed home about 5 days just waiting for someone to finish this job.
Called the Best Buy store.
Finally another Geek came out. Said" What am I suppose to do here today?" You have to install the antenna on the house, connect the woofer and program the remote. "well I can't do that I don't have equipment to do this project" "I will have someone call you in 1/2 hour and setup a appointment for tomorrow to complete the job. Again no call, no call. Stayed home no workers.
Left another message on Geek seller. NO call no call.
Called my Best Buy Home Theater man and they left messages for him to call us and get this finished. Assured us they would be out next day. No call no workers.
Called Best Buy again and they said they did not know what more they could do as he would not call back or respond to e-mail or answer.
Went back again to Best Buy. Told them I wanted my installation money back and I would hire someone to finish the job they could not get done.
They then brought down a manager. He called the guy over the the Geek that sold us the system. This was on a Sunday. That man called the Geek and things did move.
I continue to think that I should never have had to pay for the installation of that equipment. They said well we will come out and install the antenna for free. Now this did not even seem to be a charge that I should be have to pay.
I told the young manager that we had been treated very bad and he knew it. He could not disagree but had no way to refund money. Ya RIGHT
NEVER WILL I DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN
