Palafox Motors Complaint - Don't trust them - Used Car

Review by Go Navy on 2009-11-11
PENSACOLA, FLORIDA -- First, they listed one price online and another on the windshield. Clearly not entirely honest up front.

Went to look at a car, and red flags went off right away when they told me I didn't need a license plate to test drive it. They had sent them all to the auction.

Told them I was going to take it to an independent mechanic for inspection, they told me there was no need, they do a thorough inspection. They were very unpleasant when I told them I was going to anyway.

Independent inspection found over $1400 in problems, they weren't willing to knock the price of the car down more than a few hundred dollars. Said they would get me the company rate on labor to get the jobs done at other facilities.

They never called back, said they had no obligation. Also apparently never mailed in my license plate application, so I had to go back and get a second set of temporary tags.

This place is a significant headache. You may be able to get a decent price on a car there, but they will do NOTHING for you once you have the car. Including what you pay them for. What you have when you walk out the door is all you will get.

Sounds to me like you ignored all the alarm bells that were going off and chose to buy the vehicle anyway. If you know the car needs work done prior to purchase-I'd make them fix it before I bought it-not knock down the price.
