MetroPCS Complaint - Metro Ulimited Garbage!!!! Metropcs Failed!!! Avoid At All Costs!!
I was very excited to hear about this new cell phone company that claims to give you everything UNLIMITED for a fraction of the cost. Boy was I gullible and deceived! They must have watched me from inside the parking lot as I pulled in and stated 'oh yeah here comes another gullible idiot!"
Okay, so maybe I should have known that the service sucked while making my purchase taking into consideration that all of the employees inside the store had either a Cingular Iphone, Tmobile G1, or Sprint Blackberry attached at their hips, but I thought at the time what a bunch of idiots to pay all that money for the latest phone and overrated service. I hesitated while making the purchase after seeing none of the employees having a Metro PCS phone and went back to my car to think about it. Let me share that btw my previous phone (tmobile) had been stolen the day before and I didn't have insurance so thats what made me lean towards joining Metro PCS in the first place plus all the commercials about unlimiting yourself and how cheap the service is. Anyways after sitting in the parking lot I decided to go back into the store to make my purchase and paid $130 dollars for a cheap Motorola phone. Walking out I knew it was a bit pricey and not that good of a phone but I was trying to think practical and not style. I knew it was expensive but thought to myself over the course of a year I will get back my money and more because of the cheap unlimited text and call plan. Once back into my car I was pretty excited to have a cell phone that wasn't going to cost me a $100 a month to maintain and so I pulled off onto the freeway with a bright smile on my face....then all of a sudden when attempting to make a phone call after driving down the freeway something happened! NO SIGNAL NO BARS!!! I couldn't make any phone calls only 2 miles down the road from the store. I pulled off onto the shoulder and put my hazzards on and tried to see what the problem was. From past experience with other cell phone companies I knew to turn the phone off and then turn it back on to reset it. Nothing happened. So I brushed it off and decided to continue on home and thought eh maybe I'm in a dead spot and it will work better in other areas. WRONG!!!!! I didn't get service in any store TARGET, KMART, GROCERY, HOMEGOODS, TJ MAX, NO MALLS! Every time I would enter a store I knew it was a matter of seconds before the call would be dropped regardless of what town the store was located. So that was very annoying but I was willing to put up with that annoyance but then things continued to go wrong. The phone I purchased was a new model but was not compatible with ringtones service and customer service was unaware why and how to fix it. Every time I called customer service the automated system would refuse to connect me to a live person and kept saying" I know you would like to speak to an agent but let me first try to help you" and then it would repeat repeat repeat options that had nothing to with what I was calling for. This would go on for 20 minutes before I would be connected to a live person and then they would be completely clueless and rude. I think their call center is in another country because their listening skills are very poor. I would have to tell them my problems over and over and then as if they were reading from a script would suggest me to do things I have already tried but failed. Also they never ported my number from tmobile over and when I complained they said I had to pay a $5 dollar fee for number change. Also btw they charge you for everything, to pay your bill ETC: Also guess what I am still in my 30 day trial period and when I tried to return the phone they looked at and said we are sorry but you have talked for more than 1 hour and you cannot return the phone. I freaked out and threw the phone in the garbage and left out the store. PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS OR ELSE YOU WILL BE SORRY I PROMISE YOU THAT!!!!! MY LESSON LEARNED IS THAT YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR AND FORE WHAT WAS SUPPOSE TO BE 30 DOLLARS A MONTH IF I DID NOT CANCEL I WOULD HAVE ACTUALLY BEEN PAYING $50 DOLLARS A MONTH WITH ALL THE ADDITIONAL FEES AND SERVICE CHARGES. I DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER FINISHING OUT THE FREE MONTH OF SERVICE THAT NEW CUSTOMERS GET, INSTEAD JUST THREW IT IN THE TRASH BIN IN FRONT OF THE EMPLOYEES AND SAW A FEW CUSTOMERS WALK OUT AND THE EMPLOYEES RAN INTO THE BACK OFFICE AND LAUGHED LOUDLY. DON'T LET THEM FOOL YOU THE EMPLOYEES KNOW THAT THE SERVICE IS GARBAGE AND THAT IT'S FOR POOR GHETTO FOLKS WITH BAD CREDIT THAT LIVE IN THE PROJECTS THAT CANT GET A REAL CELL PHONE AND RIDE THE BUS!
Customer service is worse then Sprint back in the day and with horrible coverage...feels like you are walking around with a toy phone!!!
