Radio Shack Complaint - 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee (No good if service plan is purchased)
HICKORY, NC, NORTH CAROLINA -- On 10/24/2009 I purchased a 2-way headset, along with the service plan. A week later I used it for the first time. It made a loud humming noise and quit working.
On 11/14/2009 I took it back to radio shack to get it replaced. They informed me that I would have to call the 800 number since I had purchased the service plan. I was informed they would not horner the 30 day money back guarantee at that store because of the service plan that was purchased.
I was told if I went to the location that I bought it from they may replace it there (an hour round trip).
So from what I understand Radio Shack has a 30 day money back guarantee as long as you don't buy the service plan that they try to talk you into. If you buy the service plan you will need to jump through more loops to get a card which will allow you to get a replacement for the defective product that they sold you.
A guarantee is only as good as the companey that is standing behind it.
