Dish Network Complaint - What does it take to cancel Dish Network?
We have a Dish account for our RV. We use it when we go camping. About 12 mths ago, we called to cancel the account because for $63+ a month we weren't getting the value out of it. My husband called to cancel and he told me it was cancelled. My bad for not checking our credit card bill more closely, but they continued to bill us each month until I noticed. I had my husband call again to cancel and this time I sat with him. After a frustrating time getting through the automated line, he finally got someone who said it was cancelled. Again, my bad for not watching the credit card like a hawk, but they continued to bill us. This time I called. I really don't know what language has to be used to actually cancel a service. They told me that there was a record of someone calling in September but "for some reason the account wasn't actually cancelled"... in other words, they admit to continuing to bill even though you have called to cancel service. I've demanded money back and the service be cancelled. This time, I'm also calling my credit card company to dispute the charges. These people shouldn't be trusted. Sign up at your own peril.
