Anthem Senior Advantage Informative - Can't find a doctor to fit the network hospital

Review by upset-2 on 2009-11-16
I have had Anthem Senior Advantage plan for a couple of years. I am haveing problems finding a Doctor that can do certain procedure's in net-work hospitals. The Doctor can be in the net-work but then the hospital that performs the procedure is out of net-work or vise versa. I have to spend hours on the computer trying to find doctors that are in the right net-work hospitals. I have been tricked into certain appointment and have had to pay because they lied about being in the network. I am tired of all this bull! I would go back to traditional medicare but can't afford the supplemental that AARP offers or any other company.

Have you checked the insurance company's website? They should have a list of providers that would be in network and may even provide what hospitals they work at. It's hard to deal with HMOs sometimes.

Wait til Obama gets finished. His health care reform will be a lot worse.

I have Anthem insurance and it is awful!! They told me that the insurance would pay for my remicade infusions every 6 weeks. Now they are saying no they won't. I am let with $19,000 hanging over my head and unemployed! They lied to me and my rates are outrageous. I think all insurance companies are greedy and liars.
