Sprint PCS Complaint - Consistently Horrible Customer Service
Just when I think Sprint's customer service couldn't get any worse, it does. I have never dealt with a company that makes no attempt to satisfy customers.
The latest indicident involves the purchase of a new phone as part of a program targeted toward existing customers. The program indicated that it would take 6-8 weeks to receive the rebate. Rather than just providing each customer with on the spot discounts, they insist on using rebates in the hope that you won't send it in or you miss the deadline. Regardless, I sent it in on time...back in April. It is now August, still no rebate. Repeated calls to the rebate center has left me incredibly frustrated. They have blatantly lied to me on several occasions. When I called during the last week of July, one customer rep told me a check was cut on July 2 and mailed on July 6. My question was, "then where is the check?" They said it should be there any day and that I should call back. Another week and a half went by so I called back. The rep gave me the same dates so I asked to speak with a supervisor. The supervisor gave me entirely different dates and said they were still within the window of 15 days after the check was mailed. Unbelieveable!!! Yet another deceptive business practice by this terrible company. Making matters worse, I have been charged for a service I never asked for. They started charging me for a vision service - I don't even have a camera phone and never look at pictures on my phone. Furthermore, I never use the ReadyLink service this covers as well. The rep told me that it was included for free for sixty days and was my responsibility to cancel it. Granted, I would have seen it on a printed bill, but I have selected the paperless option. The supervisor in this incident wanted to know why I would do that. I am saving their company money by not having them send me the bill and that is the kind of response I get?? Ultimately, the supervisor had no intention of remedying the situation. After years of pain and frustration brought about by the most horrendous customer service (not to mention poor reception almost everywhere) I am about ready to pay the $150 termination fee and get rid of this dispicable company. I would recommend to anyone and everyone that they go with Verizon or someone else...avoid Sprint at ALL costs.
