A&E Appliance Repair Complaint - Learn from my mistake
We blew a fuse on our 2002 KitchenAid Microwave/Convention oven on a Thursday in November 2009. Called A&E Appliance Repair and service was scheduled for the following Saturday. The technician arrived as scheduled but didn't have the fuse on his truck, he had to go to the closest Home Depot which is 9 miles from us. It took him almost 3 hours to "fix" the appliance and when he left he told us that the fan noise we were hearing would stop. Well it never did and we had to flip the breaker to stop the fan so it wouldn't burn out. We called A&E back and were told that a technician would be back on Sunday. Called A&E on Monday and were scheduled for a technician on Tuesday. Tuesday came and went with no technician. Remember, we already paid our bill of about $150. We called A&E 7 times on Tuesday, but each time they told us that the technician could still show up and would not reschedule us. We called them again on Wednesday and were told a technician would be here on Thursday! At that point, we got angry and told them that if the technician did not show up today, we wanted our money back and would call Visa and cancel the transaction. At this point, the appliance is in worse shape than when we originally called. Do not do business with this company. They are not local for anyone.
