Mobile Device Protection Complaint - Not A Reliable Company

Review by sweet jay on 2009-11-19
BOCA RATON, FLORIDA -- I have a LG 920 which AT&T has checked out and decided it was not working properaly. I went on line whith the problem and they replied Had I dropped my phone. What if I did drop it. That's why I got insurance on it. i called wire fly and talked to a person and was outraged. he told me to call back to NCOA. All I can say is the hell with NCOA and wirefly.

I will not buy again I am going to file a report with the better business breaua on NCOA and Wirefly.

"they replied Had I dropped my phone. What if I did drop it."

They have to ask questions in order to see if anything happened prior to it's not working. Most of the time, phones just don't mysteriously stop working on their own. There's factors that cause that: whether it be dropping the phone, exposing the phone to moisture, extreme cold or hot.

"That's why I got insurance on it."

Yes, but if you think you can do whatever to your phone and not expect to pay the consequences, guess again. Accidents do happen, but if you purposely do stuff to your phone and expect to get a replacement one; insurance doesn't work that way. And the insurance doesn't cover everything. Hence, also, why they ask those questions.

You're going to find that with any insurance you get with your phone.

"phones just don't mysteriously stop working on their own" -- Yes they do. It's just that the companies responsible don't care to take responsibility for their manufacturing defects because it's way easier and cheaper to blame the customer.

Are there any businesses today who take responsibility for anything?

I said most of the time... I didn't say all of the time, Stew.
