Consumer Priority Service Complaint - Extended Warranty
BROOKLIN, NEW YORK -- Several years ago I purchased a Samsung-357 DVD recorder with extended warranty($20 for 3 years) from cpscentral.com (Newark, New Jersey, phone 800-905-0443). After a year and a half the DVD recorder stopped recognizing CDs & DVDs. Sent out the recorder for repair($17) to cps central and paid for the return shipping($20). Also signed a form saying that it will be repaired or replaced with a similar one and my warranty is no longer valid. However the replacement drive I received had the following problems:
1) Doesn't read any CDs or DVDs
2) Has a dent on the back cover
3) The audio/video out port is not working
4) The status indicator on the front panel is so dim that it is almost unreadable.
So I would strongly recommend for everybody to stay away from Consumer Priority Service(CPS).
