Macco Greenville SC Complaint - Sad Day I pulled my Ranger into Macco paint & body

Review by maccohater on 2009-11-20
GREENVILLE, TENNESSEE -- I will make this short & sweet. I took my little unsuspecting 85 Ranger to Macco in Greenville SC.
Now I have been doing the body work on this truck for a year now. The final 3 months before going to this so called paint shop hour after hour of long board block sanding by hand. Any self respecting bodyman knows what I'm talking about!
The last week I applied 2 final coats of primer for the "experts" at macco to hand block before painting. Well it was 3 days after the painting before I could really inspect the paint job. Come to find out they did sand my baby with 320-400 for the final sanding. Oh I forgot to mention it was with a "DA"!!!!!!!!!! They killed all of the final line work, surfaces went from smooth and flat to ocean wave quality. I'm at fault here. I'm goint to eat the 600 and something wasted dollar I spent on this BS. Its my punishment for not sanding it myself and or also not asking them how they prepped their cars for painting. I will be redoing all the work once the summer gets here! Right now I'm goint to try to get some sleep! Havent since my Ranger came home and has been howling at night because its pissed at me for doing what I did!
Sometime your better off doing it yourself!!!

What's a "Ranger"? A pick up truck?

I had a ranger for a long time. great little truck.

I remember as a kid my Dad took a car to Maaco. The paint job started peeling in a few months. Ever since then I've always seen their commercials and remembered that.
