GE Cons Cardco Complaint - this was no fair - Electronic / computor

Review by unawares on 2004-08-10
PHOENIX, ARIZONA -- Three years ago my 18 quadrapalegic grandson had the opportunity to work as a dispatcher at the local police department. But first we had to get a computor so that he could practice. I went to Ultimate Electronics because I did not have the cash that was needed to purchase a computor. we went in together and of course he wanted to get one that cost $2600.oo. what do you do? he's paralized and all he did was sit in his chair at the time. So Ulimate was glad to give me the computor. I signed some papers and asked a few questions and recieved the answers to all the questions that I asked. HOWEVER NOT ONCE DID ANY ONE MENTION TO ME THAT IF THIS DEBT WAS NOT PAID OFF BY JAN.31 OF 2004 I WOULD THEN OWE $1,000.00 IN INTEREST ! I'M SICK. This because over the last three years I've let my grandson feel free to shop when he needed anything such as a CD player etc. Everyone treated us so well in the store. My bill never seemed to get at a low balance but I wasn't concened because I made my payments in a timly manner. The one exception was when I had to call And tell GE that I could not make the payment because of having to help Allan purchase his wheel chair.then he was in the hospital for 52 days this past Mar. & April. I can not find a place to send GE CONS CARDCO a letter asking that they please remove this interest. I have the money now to pay off my current balance without the extra one- thousand dollars. I'm not trying to get out of paying what I owe this company but this is far above that. I simply cannot do it. Please if anyone knows as to where I'm able to contact them please let me know. I would like an e-mail address as soon as possible. At this time my grandson is very sick and that alone as me very distraugh.thank you Susan

Valid complaint, but hard to take seriously given your second grade scholastic ability.

Good point made! This comment being made to gentleman who needs to understand how hard I laughed when I decided to read just what it was that I had said. Too much for me to handle... Oh well having not slept for almost three days I'll try to forgive myself.. Oh yes, I also forget to mention that since I'm not used to the computor I was concentrating or at least trying to while I was looking to pick the right KEYS !!! Ok? GOOD CRITISIM THOUGH.And I might add well taken. Next time(if ever) lets hope for everyone's sake that I my mind will not wander in so many different directions...Thanks Susan

computor...The correct spelling is: COMPUTER! You need a refresher course in English Composition. Seriously!

((REWRITTEN)) Good point! Thanks to the gentleman's comment. I laughed after I reread how I wrote the letter! I was very tired when I wrote this letter, so I'll try to forgive myself for my poor english composition and writing skills.. By the way, in my defense, I am not computer literate, my typing and spelling skills are very poor. I couldn't concentrate while I typed the letter. I appreciate your critism and will take it upon myself to learn better english composition before I write my next complaint. Thank You

Hey, thinker, for someone who likes to criticize someone's grammar and spelling mistakes, you need to learn how to spell CRITICISM. It's not spelled critism.

This is to "THINKER" Well at least I'm beautiful. Not having had the schoolng I'm sure that you were fortunate to have (raised in Az Childrens Home)let me mention to you that I'm very proud that all my sons graduated with honor's at Notre Dame University and my youngest now attending Carnige (misspelled I'm sure, so please do not chastize me) Mellon on a scholarship.I'm sure I'm mistaken but you sound to me as if you must enjoy what you say and do. And you also seem somewhat different. Which I'm sure is good.Being different "thinker" is what makes you an exception to all the rest.Hey can I write and say that you have been instrumental in pushing me towards maybe going back to learn "BASIC" English. All these years I stayed at home and made sure my children did their homework and transported them to all their school activites. Should I have taken better care of my own skills? Absolutly!! But I decided to choose what was in my children's best interest. Allowing them instead to have what I was not afforded. Now is the time for myself. Thank you "thinker" I can only hope that the male teacher's not try to seduce(big word for me) me.( this actually was a problem at GCC here, then I may just get through one semester. And Thinker don't come back with it takes two to tangle! Ha! I only wish that was the case in my life. It also might interest you "Thinker" without wanting any opinion coming from you that 4 years age I lost two of my sons in an accident. So woul;d you believe that I always had the feeling that half my brain was washed out just trying to deal with the pain. No pills nor alcoholto help me through . Then I read your comments .... Go figure. Have a great day "thinker". I have to leave now as I'm going with some friends to check out my President since he has honored our state with a visit. Oh and yes, I'm a Republican. Yours Truly. Susan

Susan, my reply wasn't personal. In general everyone should use MS Word or Wordperfect to help them write a decent letter and at least review their letter before posting.

Unawares, Check your personal message board. I have some USEFUL information for you, I hope. And I promise that I don't criticize spelling errors or gramatical "fopaws." Also, in addition to what I mentioned on your personal message board, it is imperative that ALL of your furure correspondence with GE Capital be by certified mail. Do not send any correspondence to the mailing address where you mail your bill. Send all disputes to: Card Services c/o Cardhoder Operations OH3-4258, P.O. Box 276, Dayton, Ohio 45401-0276. I doubt that they will respond favorably because this company tries very hard to keep their customers chasing their tails and they try even harder to remain anonymous, at all costs. So, you will probably have to resort to bringing your complaint to The Attorney General and the other agencies I mentioned in my other letter to you. Feel free to email me directly at lonedove@austin.rr.com
