Hughes Net Complaint - Don't Fall for the TV commercials
SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS -- Horrible speeds, down to 43k even lower then dial up.
Tech support is in India and they must be reading from a script, because they certainly do nothing to help and often argue..
They kept telling me (talking over me actually) that my speed was much higher then it was. My speedtest NOT using their program showed a big difference.
I was 18 days into my service and had at least 20 *satelite connection* service errors.
there was no *weather* to interrupt.
Being within my trial period I called to cancel, again the cancellation dept was in India and the woman kept telling me to extend my trial..yada yada yada..
I said no cancel!!!
Well I have to send them back the equipment including the mounted roof radio and THEY want another $100 to come back at get it off the roof.

Another subscriber said to check before the end of the month to make sure it really WAS cancelled.
Since they have a bad habit it seems, of *extending your cancel decision* past the trial date and charging the $350 cancellation fee.
