Global Tel Link (GTL) Complaint - Unprofessional / Rip Off's

Review by barrybusy on 2009-11-23
DENVER, COLORADO -- RIP OFF'S "Global Tel Link" is a company contracted with the City/County Organization OR Entity to provide Long Distant/Collect Calling Services. Consumers having private Telephone/Long Distance services should be allowed to have long distance services directed to the company that holds "our" accounts who can verify "good standing" of the client.. & billing fees for directed those services should have been included during the negotiation process of the contracting company. If a private party wants to utilize the collect calling service, our phone company should have should have the say & "WE" should be entitle to receive communications upon payment HISTORY with our private Land Line provider..

Customer Service Rep of Global Link Billing department was "RUDE" and un-professional and when I requested the block be removed she advised me "that it is a courtesy for me to even receive a long distance call" I am furious, I am the one paying for services and would surely use other means other than "GTL"... This is a company MONOPOLIZING on Collect Call Services and then MISS-USING the POWER TO DEMAND pre-paid calling CARDS !!!

Customers should have the right to make/receive CALLS from an INMATE or otherwise, and services should be forwarded to the local LONG DISTANCE/PRIVATE TELEPHONE SERVICE PROVIDER to insure the FIRST AMENDMENT rights of the relatives ability to communicate freely with loved ones & ELIMINATE THE ABUSE OF SERVICES BEING PERFORMED BY "GLOBAL TEL LINK COLLECT CALL BILLING DEPARTMENT/SERVICES"!!!!!!!!!!!!!

While I can sympathize with you for your loved one getting you into this situation,
You want to communicate "freely" with someone who has been convicted and incarcerated for a crime??? Write a letter, but that will be screened before delivery.
