Campbell Soup Complaint - Pepperidge Farm Rebates
Resolution Update on 12/01/2009:
yeah ok so youre right. The rebate finally showed up today. Wow just didnt htink they take that long.
I am not a huge fan of rebates. Ive read articles about rebates and how companies use them as a marketing tool to try to make extra money. A lot of people who get rebates either forget to send them in, or companies make it so hard to redeem, they make up a reason why your rebate was "denied".
I try to avoid rebates at all costs, but recently I went to target and saw a sticker on a box of pepperidge farm crackers that said "try me free" So I purchase them, and enjoy them. I read all the terms and conditions, rules on how to send it in, and off my rebate went. Its been probably 10 weeks now and nothing.
You know, the rebate was for maybe $3.50. Something small like that. I will not go bankrupt without my $3.50 but its the principle of the fact. If the Campbell Soup company did this to say, 1,000 people, they just made $3,500. It irritates me. If compnies like this want to be fraudulent and false advertise, then the next time I am in the store and want to purchase a product by Cambell's Soup or Pepperidge Farm, I will certainly remember how they scammed me out of $3.50 and be sure to purchase another brand.
