Wal-Mart Complaint - Walmart is NOT Customer Friendly
DERBY, KANSAS -- 11/09/2009 - I bought a Dell monitor from the Walmart in Derby, Kansas. I took the monitor home and installed it on my computer. The next day, the monitor stopped working.
Now, I am not one to take stuff back so the next time I was in that Walmart I asked the clerk in electronics. "Do you think that I could return this monitor without a receipt." He said that he did not know but directed me to the front desk.
The clerk at the front of the store assured me that I could return the defective monitor. I went ahead a bought another monitor and put it on my Sam's Credit card. That is two purchases on my Sam's card for a monitor.
The following week, I took that bad monitor into the same Walmart a week later and they refused to credit my account. They stated that because I did not have the receipt they would not return it. Ok, I bought it on my Sam's credit card. "Could we not verify the purchase with my Sam's Credit card. They said no they needed a receipt. I ask if I could use their computer to look up this purchase. They said no... They would have to know the exact date. I told them it was within the last few weeks yet they refused to attempt to look it up.
I felt like throwing the monitor on the floor and crashing into 1000 pieces.
Why did they tell me that I could return this monitor?
Why were they so customer unfriendly in refusing to look this up on their computer? The purchase was on my Sam's credit card.
Why wouldn't they let me look this up on their computer?
I went home and got on-line and reviewed my Sam's Credit card bill. The purchases from Walmart where totaled and were not itemized.
I called my Sam's Credit card and could not get a person on the phone. I could get a credit card balance but no help in this manner.
I will not shop at Walmart or Sam's in the future.
