Wal-Mart Informative - Don't say I didn't warn you :)
ALGONQUIN, ILLINOIS -- Ok, I didn't find it to be a big deal, but I don't want anyone to get on here and holler because they feel they were cheated, so pay attention.
I was at Walmart last night and I saw that they had 6.5 ft prelit artificial Christmas trees for $35 (Box J). The trees came with your choice of colored and white lights. I looked at the display and they looked decent (certainly worth the $35). I've been in the market for a new tree, so I decided to get the white light tree.
I went to the shelf to get the tree and when I inspected the box, I noticed that while the colored light tree was marked as 6.5 ft, the white light tree was only 6 ft. Both were marked as Box J so I knew that I wasn't holding a different tree. I checked all over and there were no other white light trees to compare it to (I was holding the only one). I checked the display again and both were advertised as 6.5ft. False advertisement? Maybe, I don't know. Of course this was after 8pm so I would have had better luck winning the lottery than I would have had to find an associate.
I went back to the 6 ft tree box and noticed that it was priced at $25. Let's see, It's only 6 inches shorter, but it's $10 cheaper? Sold! Six fewer inches doesn't bother me--when it comes to my trees, that is! ;)
