Mexicana airlines Complaint - Do not use mexicana
I bought two tickets from Mexicana in 3/09 for a flight 11/09. So did my parents, aunts, and some friends--all separate transactions.
A friend was looking up his itenerary in 9/09 and discovered that the flight had been cancelled. No notice to any of us, just cancelled. They had placed us all on another flight that left later that day, but got us into Costa Rica a full day later due to a HUGE layover.
We all began trying to contact to company by email and phone. We told them that the new flight would not do and we needed our money back. They said, "okay, it will post a refund within 30 days." They were nice and seemed helpful on the phone. Of course 30 days came and went, further calls resulted in us being told that it had needed to go through 2 departments and had been finalized the previous week. It was to post to my account no later than 11/23/09. Guess what?
In the meantime I bought tickets for a non-stop flight through TACA airlines (which served us well) and had a great trip. But I thought I would be getting my money back, am really mad, and Christmas budgeting will suffer. This didn't just happen to me, but the others on this flight also, it could happen to you.
