Wal-Mart Complaint - Walmart return policy
ABINGDON, MARYLAND -- I purchased Guitar Hero set. I lost the receipt and it was a cash purchase. When I try to return it for an exchange, I was denied. The set was recently purchased and unopened. I did not ask for money back, only to exchange for something else and the answer was no. I do not understand how a multi billion dollar company could be so rigid? We all have misplaced or accidently threw away our receipt from time to time. This happens and it is mostly likely going to happen during the craziest time of the year, Black Friday.
I spoke with the management and their explanation is any merchandize over $25 with no receipt is something they can not do anything about. I wonder when Walmart implemented this looney company policy? I was tired from work and I did not want to create a scene. I did not want to hold up the line so I moved to the side so the customer service cashier can attend to other people waiting in line. With nothing but BS excuses from Management, I left there promising never to purchase anything else from Walmart. I wonder when this mega super store become so cheap? On top of very bad return policy, grocery shopping is no picnic either. Half of the grocery item I need is not on the self. Most of the time it is a crap shoot if my grocery items are even going to be there. Half of the time, I need to visit Giant or Safeway to finish my grocery shopping. It is a very sad and pathethic sight seeing empty shelves and plenty of cheap items no one is going to buy. Then when you do shop there, I can not exchange the electronic merchandize without getting excuses. I use to shop primarily at Walmart for many years. Recent years however, I do grocery shopping more and more from Safeway and Giant due to Walmart not having anything I need to buy. So, after being treated so rudely by Walmart Mangement and all the BS excuses why Walmart return policy is written in stones and there is nothing anybody can do when trying to return unopened, unused $99 Guitar Hero 5 set, I am DONE SHOPPING AT WALMART. This place is a total dump now.
