Air Canada Complaint - Air Canada/Aeropla RIP off!
Due to inclement weather on Nov.14th/09 our cruise ship was delayed by 12 hours arriving in the port of Baltimore. This meant we would miss our 2.30 PM flight to Toronto and early in the morning of the 14th we immediately contacted Air Canada Aeroplan from the ship to advise them of our dilemma.
Two different Air Canada Aerplan employess ASSURED us, gave us their WORD there would be NO re-booking charges because of the inclement weather. Well guess what folks?
My Visa account was charged $ 189.00 just the same and when I asked Air Canada/Aerplan about this, their word was well Sir you VOLUNTARILY changed your flight.
I am a Senior, an old guy that saves his money to go on a cheapo cruise every 2 or 3 years or so. Thus that $189.00 hurts a lot. But this Air Canada Aerplan care? Noooo way....
There was a time when ones WORD and HONOURING ones WORD, MEANT SOMETHING, not today or at least not by Air Canada/Aeroplan.
I have written to every Air Canada contact address including their President. Oh sure, I get a "nice" letter back, you know the type, we are truly sorry etc. etc. but guess what? NOT a penny of my $189.00 they promised NOT to charge, NOT even a penny.
