RAM Restaurant & Brewery Compliment - A Meal Fit for a King

Review by Starlord on 2009-12-02
Tonight, 12/02/09, Crystal and I ate at the RAM Restaurant & Brewery, in Lacey WA. They claim to be family owned and operated since the early 70s, and I hope they have many more years. I had a half rack of baby back ribs, marinated in their Big Red ale and slow cooked with their own sauce, served with fries and a salad, along with a glass of one of their micro-brewery beers on draft. Crystal had a 6-oz sirloin steak with salad and green beans. The food was excellent, the server, Amy, did a marvelous job, and the sports bar theme was not over-done, as it so often is. Five stars and we will eat there again, on special occasions.

He forgot to mention that I did get fries with mine and the whole meal was very good!

Sounds good, Star! (VH)
Was the sauce sweet, tart or a mixture? Spicy?
Crystal wasn't very hungry, huh?
Well done sirloin, I presume?
What was the total tab?

ZZ, the suace was a fairly sweet suace with a finsih that let you know there was spice, delicious. With salad, green and wax bean mix, fries and the steak (well done, but that's what she wanted) she got her fill. the total tab came to just under $36, but that included a large root beer for her and 18 oz of one of their wonderful draft beers. Amy got a tip she did not feel was an insult.

That's about right pricewise.
Sounds like a nice place. Local chain or just that one?
I/we went to Applebee's recently and paid about that much.

We waited maybe 5 - 10 minutes for a booth, can't use a table with the dogs....they have one other restaurant on the other side of town but I'm not sure exactly where. It really wasn't crowded, its a sports bar and it had a real nice family atmosphere!

I don't too often go into restrooms when away from the house but this one impressed me....the floors were so shiny that they looked like highly polished marble. Everything was extremely clean.

Star this is why I love local mom and pop restaurants. Great food from staff that actually cares that you are there. If I ever make it to WA I will check it out
