Spirit Airlines Complaint - Flight Cancellation/Delay
JACKONSONVILLE, FLORIDA -- The day of my flight, I had my grand son drive me from our home in Jacksonville, FL at 3:30am to make this flight in Orlando, FL. Upon arrival I had him wait until after I received my ticket, just in case your (spirit airlines) company had any bad news. Unfortunately, tickets were issued and good-byes given, my grand son returned home.
Come time for take-off I was made aware this flight would be delayed one whole week! As a diabetic, my sugar level spiked and I almost suffered a hyperglycemic attack from the stressed caused by your airlines. This all could have been prevented has your (sprint airlines) personnel made us aware of this problem before hand! To make a long story short, my grand son had to make a second round trip to pick me back up. Keep in mind another trip is in order for the next flight scheduled the following week.
The total commute was 700 miles and took 10 hrs to complete. After paying for the FL toll roads ($5.00 x 4), airport parking ($3.00 x 2), luggage booking fee ($25.00), and the gas required to make two round trips ($100.00) our expenses totaled $150; exceeding cost of ticket.
I called their coporate office, listed on their website only for them to redirect to back to their website to file a complaint there. To my surprise their "ask a question/comment" section doesn't work. It requires you to enter a location but the actual place to select your location doesn't show up after clicking their I icon. This is the worst airline imaginable. People please spend an extra $50 and go thru someone else. It will save you a world of pain.
