CAIRO -- Hope this mail finds you well. I faced with skin problem when I get my shaving cans from P&G (Gillette shaving foam) rusted and I received below email when I complained which is emphasize that this can is not rust resistant, and they didn't mention on the can anything as caution and when they use tinplate can they were know that it will use in bathroom and didn't use aluminum cans like the others in the same product.

Kindly help me to avoid any potentially harmful effects to any person in the future. And kindly don't reply with: "It's not my responsibilities." NO it's your responsibility as human towards your brother in this world to avoid tetanus infection as a result of P&G Gillette rusted cans.

You are now in front of cheating company as the rusted cans and the effect of rust on the healthy and the reference (handbook of Cosmetic Science and Technology) and the contributors in this handbook are consultant from P&G so they are good known and their email which is acknowledgement their can is not rust proof and from their website the below article saying: Let my voice reach the solution.

Even we Try wiping the bottom of the can dry after use and store it in a dry place what about the Nozzle of the bottle which it expose to the wet foam when way out, how can I clean the rest foam by water or leave it as it is, the two steps Leads us to rusted cans.

Change in Aussie Freeze Hairspray Formula

AUSSIE DIVISION -- I live in the south, very humid year round, Aussie Instant Freeze hairspray was the best - Perfect!! They have changed the formula. It now has ALOE, SEA Kelp and JOJOBA OIL in it. DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT!!! Your hair will be flat and very sticky. I have used Aussie products ever since I can remember for volume and hold. I do not recommend them to anyone anymore. There are other freeze sprays that are working great. Since I had to change hairspray, I quit buying the other products also. I hate it women of the SOUTH but "AUSSIE HAS LET US DOWN" I mean FLAT DOWN.

Procter and Gamble 1,4-Dioxane Cancer Causing Chemical And Brenda Kidd
By -

CINCINNATI, OHIO -- 1,4-dioxane is known to the state of California to cause cancer. It is also on California's Proposition 65 list of chemicals known to cause cancer. According to the California EPA, 1,4-dioxane is suspected as a kidney toxicant, neurotoxicant and respiratory toxicant.

Many companies use ethoxylation because it is a cheap shortcut process to provide mildness to harsh cleaning ingredients. The process requires the use of the cancer causing Petrochemical ethylene oxide, which generates 1,4-dioxane as a byproduct of ethoxylation.

According to the Environmental Working Group, 1,4-dioxane is also a groundwater contaminant.

Procter and Gamble Tide, Ivory Snow Gentle, Tide Free, Gain 2X Ultra, Cheer Bright Clean Detergent and Era 2X Ultra Conventional Brands had significantly higher levels of contaminant, which is 1,4-dioxane a known cancer causing chemical.

Below are some of Procter & Gamble Products that contains 1,4-dioxane during a product conducted test.

Tide had 55 parts per million of 1,4-dioxane in it.
Ivory Snow Gentle had 31 parts per million of 1,4-dioxane in it.
Tide Free had 29 parts per million of 1,4-dioxane in it.
Gain 2X Ultra had 21 part per million of 1,4-dioxane in it.
Cheer Bright Clean Detergent had 20 parts per million of 1,4-dioxane in it.
Era 2X Ultra had 14 parts per million of 1,4-dioxane in it.

However, 1,4-dioxane is not included on Procter and Gamble products ingredient labels, but it is a cancer causing chemical.

1,4-dioxane is not only in Procter and Gamble Conventional Brands of detergents, 1,4-dioxane is also in 18 of Procter and Gamble Herbal Essences shampoo products too.

A product test conducted revealed that an Herbal Essences shampoo of Procter and Gamble, contained 1,4-dioxane levels of 24 parts per million. That is 14 parts per million, over the limit, which is 10 parts per million.

The cancer causing chemical 1,4-dioxane is considered contaminant and is not included on the products ingredient labels.
The Food and Drug Administration does not require 1,4-dioxane to be listed on labels of personal care products, defining it as a contaminant rather than an ingredient because it is produced during manufacturing.

Procter and Gamble agreed to reformulate after an Environmental health consumer advocate filed a notice of intent to sue in California, under Proposition 65, the state's landmark toxics law. Procter and Gamble agreed to reformulate 18 of their Herbal Essences products to reduce levels of 1,4-dioxane to 10 parts per million or below.
1,4-dioxane is found in personal care products (shampoos, Cosmetics, deodorants, toothpastes and mouthwashes) and household cleaning products.

If you digested or swallowed toothpaste and mouthwash, can 1,4-dioxane get in your system and cause severe Lung, Esophagus and Stomach Cancer?
If you cut yourself, while you are shaving on any part of your body, (under the arm) can 1,4-dioxane get into your system and cause Breast Cancer/Cancer?

1,4-dioxane is known to cause cancer and is considered contaminant and Procter and Gamble knows this, however, (through the years, over the limit amounts of) 1,4-dioxane had been in their products.

Breast Cancer is breast cancer.
Lung Cancer is lung cancer.
Esophagus Cancer is esophagus cancer.
Stomach Cancer is stomach cancer.

Cancer is Cancer, why would any group of people, knowing that 1,4-dioxane causes cancer put 1,4-dioxane in their products?
Cancer is devastating. It can be prolonged or it can be a rapid form of death.

Procter and Gamble Products that contains 1,4-dioxane are still on the market.

Procter and Gamble have failed to warn consumers about their personal care and household cleaning products, which contains 1,4-dioxane.

Products can be made without 1,4-dioxane.

The New Improved Tide - Not always Improved :(
By -

I have used Tide Laundry Detergent for my whole life. My Mom used it, so by default, it's what I have always used. A few months or so ago I started to get a very bad, itchy rash. I could not seem to get it to go away. So, I went to my doctor. Who couldn't get it to go away. He sent me to a dermatologist. Didn't work either. Tried every medication. Nothing worked. Searched the house for anything new that I had bought. Nothing new in the house. Tried to think if I had eaten anything new. Nothing new tried.

I was at my wits end. So I went on the internet one morning and just started researching everything that I could think of. In one blog I found a mention of someone with contact dermatitis with the same exact problem that I was having. They mentioned that they finally narrowed it down to the laundry detergent. New Improved Formula Tide. I ran over to take a look at my good old faithful Tide. There it was. Right on the box - "New Improved Formula".

Back at my computer I typed in "New Improved Tide and Rash". Pages of people having problems. So I bought All Clear Laundry Detergent and washed every thing that could be washed. Rash is finally going away. I may miss my old Tide (loved the scent and the way it cleaned the clothes) but I will NOT miss that rash.

Magic Eraser - Just Okay
By -

MADISONVILLE, KENTUCKY -- Yesterday evening my youngest son managed to get his little mits on a black permanent marker. Three year old, permanent marker-need I say more. I purchased these little Mr. Clean magic erasers about two weeks ago just for these situations. And I am not too overly impressed with them. We had permanent marker all over the linoleum floor. The door to the garage and on the kick molding of our wall. I wet the product according to package directions and the first thing I noticed was that even though soaking wet it still managed to stay light and easy to use.

It worked wonderful getting off the marker from the door and kick molding. The only thing was you had to scrub extremely hard to get it off. The eraser itself became full of holes and was very worn after only 5 minutes of scrubbing. Not something I would have expected from a product they claim can be used over and over again. I barely got one use out of one eraser.

Now to the floors, I wet the second eraser in the package according to the directions and tried to scrub the marker off the linoleum. It did not work at all. It didn't even lighten the ink stain. This product claims to be able to remove scuff marks and stains off of all surfaces, including linoleum. It did not take off the marker. We had a small scuff mark from my sons hot wheels and it did not get that up either.

Mr. Clean Magic Erasers have their good uses though. With some super duper scrubbing it did take off the marker from the walls, the kick molding, the door, and the refrigerator like it said it would. And I would recommend this product for someone who has a small scuff on their molding or doors.

The downside is that the product itself in my honest opinion is not intended for multiple uses as they claim. It falls apart very easily after prolonged periods of scrubbing. And at over 3.00 for two I would highly advise those with big jobs like mine not to waste your money on these. You will have more success with an acetone based nail polish remover and straight bleach.

Big Blue Spots on Tide Washed Clothing
By -

I don't usually buy Tide, although I always liked it because it cleaned so well, it was more expensive. So, when it was on sale, I bought some. For some reason the product inside the bottle is BLUE. I don't remember Tide being blue, think it was a clear color. I have always poured the detergent in while the washer was filling.

However, it seems that Tide contains a dye and it stains my clothing. It looks like wherever it touches on dry clothes as the washer is filling it just attaches like a regular stain. Now, I am NEVER going to use Tide again. I see others have problems as well. I am going back to the cheap stuff and a clear detergent that has no added color in the liquid they merchandise. I wonder if they are buying it from China nowadays, like everyone else?!!! Thanks. Hope this helps others.

Blue Spots on Clothing
By -

CINCINNATI, OHIO -- I have always used Tide. Lately, the last year or so, I have been getting blue spots on my clothes sometimes. I first thought it was dye from some other article of clothing, now I suspect it is Tide. When I really started noticing this, it was spotting where there may have been another stain, Kool-Aid, or dirt. I wrote to Tide and they said it was not their problem and maybe I was not washing clothes right. Well I have been washing clothes for 27 years. I think I'd know.

Any-hoo, others on the Tide website also complained their clothes were staining too. Still Tide denied it was their soap. Longer story short, I switched to Gain HE. No longer got stains. Then when Tide was on sale, I bought a jug, after a few months, and guess what? I have tiny blue stains. I do not think that is a coincidence. I will stop using Tide and stick with Gain. Gain also makes the laundry smell great.

Disposable Diapers
StarStarStarStarEmpty StarBy -
Rating: 4/51

CINCINNATI, OHIO -- On the package of disposable diapers you have printed directions on how to dispose of solid waste. However, every mother I know, including my daughters, do not follow the directions which state to flush a portion of the used diaper in the toilet. Instead, they wrap the diaper, with the solid waste still inside, use the tabs to secure and put them in the garbage. This has been a pet peeve of mine as it is very unsanitary and just shows how lazy these mothers/fathers are these days.

Isn't there a way your company can insure that the diaper waste can be properly disposed of?

Dawn as a grease remove on a stove
By -

OHIO -- I'm pretty broke these days but one of the luxuries I always try to afford is DAWN! I have used it to wash my hair, clean my ex husbands greasy clothes and grease stains from my uniforms that I thought would never come out with anything. But DAWN never lets me down. Recently I bought some grease remover to clean up an old kitchen stove that had not been used or cleaned in years, the grease remover that cost $6.59 did not work!

I thought maybe DAWN will work and to my surprise this old stove cleaned up like new. The white is so bright it'll give you a headache to look at it when the sun shines through the window on it even the knobs shine and the Dawn didn't take off the numbers on the knobs a mistake I made years ago with 409. Thank you Procter and Gamble for DAWN! I love it. It's one of the best products on the market.

Nice and Easy-NOT!
By -

I used the "Nice and Easy" foam hair color and it was HORRIBLE! It seemed to work okay until I had to do the back of my hair. The foam would not dispense unless the bottle was at the correct angle (hard to do when your hand is behind your head) and the foam just came out and dripped down the bottle and all over my back.

The foam stains your body within seconds (literally) so you're trying to wipe off the stains in the middle of your back while still coloring your hair. The foam also stains your hairline with speckles of dark color which I had to remove with fingernail polish remover (it was only partially successful). The color was much darker than it said and my hairline was stained for about a week. PLEASE take this product off the market! The marketing is so enticing but it's totally wrong--it's not easier than the old fashioned mixture.
