Ashley Furniture Complaint - Wrong product/no customer service
SPRINGFIELD, MISSOURI -- Consumers beware - I spent $1700 on a Simmons Mattress Set, which was way softer than the set I purchased at the store. I NEED a firm mattress for my back. This soft set is not what I tried in the store, it causes horrible back pain, sleepless nights. I contacted the store. six weeks passed - and no representative contacted me. My second contact, I was promised the store manager would call me ... still no phone call.
After spending that kind of money, I expect the set to be the one I purchased - firm. The clerk in the store suggested that our set could be "defective" from the manufacturer.
There is no excuse for being this delinquent with their customer service. Unfortunately, they have left me no choice but to file a complaint with the BBB and any other agency that would apply. It's a shame when you spend your hard earned cash and they leave you hanging!
Will I buy from them again? Hardly. They have no integrity and are not making this purchase right - especially when their employees admit the set could have been defective from the manufacturer - or maybe that is just a line?
Either way - spent a LOT of money - have no mattress to sleep on.

$1700 - Not the same mattress (firm) I bought at store! I believe this to be the next step down from what I was sold - I tried this set in the store, and it was not firm enough, that is why I purchased the higher priced set. When I buy again, it won't be from Ashley Furniture. I'll be sure to photograph the pricing and model on my cell phone to assure I get what I paid for!
I've contacted customer service by phone and email as well as called the corporate offices.
I'll never trust Ashely Furniture or spend my hard earned cash there ever again.
