Neutrogena Corporation Informative - Don't dry your face! - Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask

Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask
Review by Fair on 2004-08-20
MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA -- I washed my face and dried with my regular baby blue towel. Two hrs. later the towel was bleached. Next morning I noticed my comforter had very weird discolorations. After a couple of my night shirts were dramatically bleached, it was confirmed: The Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask bleaches cloth.

It says so on the bottle. It might bleach hair too it says.

This is what the Costumer Services people in Neutrogena had to say:

"The above product is not usually tested to see if it will stain various materials"

I USED A TOWEL TO DRY MY FACE AND IT WAS BLEACHED! I am not sure they realized this, but I went to bed with a dry face (with no product on my face) AND MY COMFORTER WAS BLEACHED.

This is not normal and I have NEVER heard of it occurring to anybody with any other product.

I am most unhappy at Neutrogena's response. They could not care less about a product that can PERMANENTLY damage you and your stuff.

It probably Benzyol Peroxide in it. It stains everything. I'm sure it says right on the back of the bottle. It's your fault for not reading

Well that is not a nice way to treat someone that has a problem. You should be nicer.

That's unfortunate, but since it clearly states so on the bottle, weren't you fairly warned?

It might say so on the bottle but that doesnt mean there should be that benzyol peroxide in it =/
