I cashed in my hard earned points for an Applebee's $25.00 gift card. Received the card fast as usual. THE NEXT DAY I sat down at Applebee's to eat with a couple of friends. I got the bill and handed the waitress the gift card. To my surprise and a LOT of embarrASSment she came back with the balance of the check for a LOT more than I was expecting. Come to find out the Gift card only had $12.10 cents left on it. She called and found out it had been used on the same day it was shipped out to me in Illinois (conveniently the same area the gift card was sent from). NOW I am in a battle w/ Mypoints TRYING to get another gift card. They say they are crediting my account with the used points. I have yet to see ANYTHING credited two months later. So be aware that their employees will use the gift cards and then send them on their merry way for YOU to get the bend over on. That must be a great perk working for Mypoints; FREE lunches/dinners and free shopping at ANY of the merchants they represent. To top it off you get paid to do it and NO consequences.

Mypoints management should be made aware so they can work with the Applebee's in their vicinity to keep this from happening.

How hard is it to earn these points? What do you need to do?

JTF, click on their emailed links, shop online with certain merchants (linked from their site), and filling out surveys gets you points to redeem for gift cards.

I've recieved several $50 and $25 gift cards from them for doing this.

WOW, I have used Mypoints for YEARS. I usually chose target, BP and Applebee's for reward cards and have never had an issue.

edit: You can also get points for "click thru" shopping. I order from Oldnavy.com a lot. I recently got 8 points per dollar for buying a ton of stuff
