Travelers Insurance Company Complaint - Throwing the smallest of claims away
DANVERS, MASSACHUSETTS -- (Boston, Danvers office) I was hit on my bike by a woman pulling out behind me (who was completely at fault) about a month ago. She immediately filed the accident report and the next day Travelers calls me up basically assuring me that the process was going to be a very fast one and that I would be on a new bike in less than two weeks.
So a month later, I'm finally able to get in touch with Jeff Lloy, my designated claim representative after countless missed calls, voicemails, emails, etc. and he told me that he did some "research" on the cost of Peugeot bikes and they were way less than my repair estimate from several bike shops. My vintage converted fixed-gear with very much work and parts put into it, will not be replaced for under $300... despite them telling me they'll cover up to several grand if necessary. I'm still (attempting) to deal with them at the moment. Can an international, hundred billion dollar insurance company really be so cheap?
