American Airlines Complaint - American Airlines-Lost Luggage NEVER found!!!
American Airlines is so horrible and won't take responsibility for their actions. My husband and I flew to Phoenix, AZ from Reagan National in October 2009. We stopped through Dallas but didn't have to change planes. My luggage arrived in Phoenix however my husbands didn't arrive.
We immediately filed a claim and was told that 99.4% bags are recovered and it will be found. After calling every hour for almost 2 1/2 days we had to come home early, pay a $300.00 ticket change fee and cut our vacation short. The customer service was awful, acting like it is my fault my luggage was lost and then questioning me what was in the bag to begin with. We came home and it took hours to fill out the paperwork and itemize everything. We have been treated so poorly and everyone seems to act like it was our fault for our luggage missing.
After filing a $3800 claim for all his clothes lost, they paid us $850.00 and a letter telling us "they hope we can restore your confidence in our airline" are you kidding me??? This is awful. We have written letters, appealed and nothing. I have written the CEO of AA, of course nothing.
What poor business practice. Our friends, relatives and anyone we know will never fly AA. Even if they offer the lowest fare we will never give them our business. I will pay double to an airline just to avoid flying AA.
Horrible customer service, horrible airline, horrible experience.
