Southwest Airlines Compliment - The flight there...not so much.. On the way back when I was tired...totally.
CHAMPAIGN, ILLINOIS -- Just this past weekend my girlfriend and I made a journey out to Denver, CO. The trip started with an unfortunate event of picking the wrong airport in Chicago. (hint) the Southwest airline only flys out of the southwest part of Chicago ie Midway, the Northwest side of Chicago hold Northwest Airlines...seems silly if you really think out it, but that typically only happens after you have already made the mistake. Long story short, we jumped on a shuttle to Midway checked in and were able to fly on stand-by on a Friday night. Great. The flight was okay.
However coming back to Illinois our group of In-flight service attendants as well as pilots were very nice genuinely friendly. To often in mass transit people are silent. This trip included a in-flight assessment by the captain to tell us how high we were and where we were, and how long until we touched down. Typically the Captain speech last a few moments and is not very friendly sounding in my opinion. This was most opposite of that. Lastly as the icing on the proverbial cake, once we had landed and before they had started to let people off the the plane an female voice came over the intercom and had a little Christmas song. It was like "we wish you a merry Christmas" instead the attendant changed the words to be more of a southwest airlines mini commercial, but it was nice.
In all of my few years of air travel this was the most comfortable and had the most pleasant staff aboard. Thank you again southwest airline flight #3094
