Cabela's Complaint - Late fee when paid in full
Complaint
I paid my credit card off in full for 755. Cabela's said they got the payment a few days late and charged me a 39 late fee. They would not waive the charge. This 39 annualizes to a 62% interest rate. I just paid off the charge and told them to cancel my card. I very seldomed used this card but shopped in their store. I will never enter any one of their stores again, nor will my family.

show the math for the 62% rate, it's a one time charge. $39.00 is not 62% of $755.

Perhaps you should mail your payment a couple days sooner so it gets there on time. Doesnt sound like you did so now you will pay for it.

If you had to pay $755,000.00 then the interest rate would've been a very small interest rate.
Basically, the charge was not an indication of how much you had to pay, but instead a flat fee, not interest.

Steve, I don't think the op's balance paid off was 3/4 of a million $$, but $755.00.
