Jitterbug - GreatCall, Inc Complaint - Customer No-Service
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA -- I fell for the ads of Jitterbug saying it was "user friendly", which the instrument itself was. Its Custumer No-Service was not. After two months of service and over-billing, I finally called and asked for a copy of the calls that allegedly caused the over-use of minutes. I was told they did not provide such information, even electronically. I thought this must be a mistake so I called again and talked to another representative and she confirmed they would not furnish the numbers I had been billed for but she gave me a frequent number that had the longer minutes. I called the number and it was my own Voicemail number, of which I had only called a very few times and certainly not for more than a minute at a time. I called back to ask how this could be and got another representative who was not helpful so I asked for a supervisor and was put on hold for about 5 minutes and finally gave up as it was on my minutes. I canceled the service but they kept billing me on my credit card anyway until I finally got that stopped. Then it started billing me by mail and it has now turned these false charges over to a collection agency for more harassment. Jitterbug is not as advertised, to say the least.
