DirecTV Inc Complaint - 3 Days are worth $5
PO BOX 538605, GEORGIA -- I wasted 3 days on the phone with my DVR receiver. I have the protection plan. The first day 10 min. with a tech who did not have a clue of how to fix it. Called back spent 55 min. to reset and play with different options. Next day same problem the taped shows pause, stop, screen goes black. Now we have to do a hard drive reset. Cant use the TV for 2hours. Watched a DVD and went to bed. The next day does not work, I rebooted again and 4hrs later same problem.
Called again the girl did not believe me I had to explain what I did (as directed the night before) than she said oh I guess you have done all the steps. Really I am thinking 3 days of total BS for her to respond " I guess we will have to send you a new unit". Isn't that what I asked for the first day. This will take 3 days to get to you.
The temper is now at an all time high, I want to be compensated for this. She spends another 8 min. and comes back with "we will credit your account $5. OK 3 days and about 3hours on the phone total for the 3 days I have to wait another 3 days and she is giving me $5.
I wrote a letter on the Customer Service web site for Direct TV. You guessed it I have heard nothing. Rewrote them today
Directs TV should worry about taking care of their customers they have and stop sucking in more people. If I wanted to start a service they were more than willing to get me set up right there.
I also said can we upgrade to HD DVR. Sure for $220 they will set us right up. I said your offering it free to new customers. Pretty much sucks to be me.
