Smart Smoker USA Complaint - Smart smokerUSA rip off scam

Review by howardd1955 on 2009-12-17
Your free trial will cost about $110.00, plus if you don't block them from your credit card an additional $59.99 per month.
They will offer you a free trial, here is how mine went. Ordered on 11/1/2009, received product on 12/5/2009, charged $99.99 on 12/8/2009.
It seems they have found the perfect scam. You must cancel within 10 days but it is impossible to get a hold of them. No reply to emails, no answer to phone calls.
I have filed a complaint with the FTC.

Nothing is free!

If nothing is free, then why does the word "free" exist?

So they could make cheesy movies like 'Born Free'

Again, don't fall for any offers that require you to "autopay" with a credit card. Eventually, electronic cigarettes and the flavor cartridges will be available locally, alongside the Marlboros and Camels, if not already. In some cases, e-cigarettes are a way to make quitting smoking easier, since some of the flavor cartridges DO NOT contain tobacco or nicotine, but provides the physical and emotional need for a cigarette...and the "smoke" is harmless water vapor. The e-cigarette is a good idea, but it needs to be sold by local retailers instead of just online...and both the e-cigarettes and the flavor cartridges need to be as conveniently available as cigarettes are.

If it was really a free trial offer, the company wouldn't need your credit card number.

Yes indeed these types of scams are unfortunately "commonplace today" They're many victims range in the millions worldwide and from every walk of life too. Without question, we should report swindles like this to the BBB immediately. However,we would probably fare much better if the BBB had another BBB to police them.

Another one to watch out for are those so-called free surveys, that wind up costing gullible suckers like me and you big bucks in the end. Obviously, due in-part to a hard to understand hidden clause they conveniently buried in that ridiculous set of conditions for testing that so-called free product "at your own expense?..."

I've often wondered what those big shot con artists whose many fraudulent businesses occupy several levels of some big tall shiny skyscraper, are really up too??? This high-altitude observation naturally gives them an unfair advantage over everybody else down below. Yes, to look down at all the gullible saps (rat race) just before hatching another government approved mega scam, "is most gratifying" in a reverse sense.

America's new slogan for conducting big business now...

Welcome, all you future suckers to the new and improved business tactics of the new century. Here in the new millennium where you're sure to be taken (to the cleaners) at least once, or twice. These critically acclaimed high profit generating entities are here to ?serve? RIP-YOU-OFF and the best ones twice.

Dispute the charges with your CC company or bank for wrongful charges.

Firstly it is not a free trial and does not claim to be, it is a risk free trial, think about the difference, secondly the BBB has seen the business model as have the credit card companies.
