Automaxx Complaint - Automaxx - Customer Service

Review by arich01 on 2009-12-19
FLORIDA -- Do not get a car from this dealership. I had a very horrible experience here and so have many of my friends. They are very nasty people. If you are 1 dollar short on your payment they will either not take it or will repo your car just for 1 dollar. Someone from corporate called me because my payment was 3 dollars short. They will call constantly and be very mean. My Uncle also had a car from them and he was a day behing and they showed up to his house to repo his vehicle. They give you hell about fixing THEIR car. I'm the first two months of me having the car the AC went out, I was in need of a motor mount, my breaks were failing, and I had an electrical problem. You can take my advice of find out for yourself. I'm sure I will see your post on this site in months to come. Also check out their review on the Better Bussiness Bureau website

Why are you sending payments that are $1 short?

Car payments are NEVER "approximate"... quit kidding yourself!

So--none of your family or friends pay their bills on time in the correct amount? Let me guess: The car was no money down and the interest rate is 37%, right?

If you do not make the full payment, your payment has not been made and you are past due. Yes, you broke a contract and are subject to repo. WHY send an insufficient payment? Stop blaming others for what you are doing.

For all of you inconsiderates. I have been with this company for a year and a half and HAVE NEVER been late on a payment AND mistakes do happen I was unaware the payment WAS A DOLLAR OFF. One MISTAKE IN A YEAR AND A HALF. Since you agree with that so whole heartedly why dont YOU go get a car from them and try your luck. I posted this so that others would not have to endure what i have been through. AND @ at PONIE Watch yourself about comments about my family!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This site is not meant to make personal attacks on an individual, and you guesses wron "PONIE" the car was almost a 1,000 down. Yes i paid ALL the money down just to drive off the lot and the car not work a week later. If you agree with the Car Dealership on that issue...then you are a Shady individual yourself.

If you have been paying for a year and a half, then you know the payment amount. If you don't you have your contract. They are justified in calling since your payment is not full with the missing dollar. We are not inconsiderate by telling you that YOU are the problem. It is the truth.

i'm going to quote myself again here...

mistakes made by customers are always called "small mistakes"
while mistakes made by companies are usually called "unacceptable"
it's always interesting how it plays out that way

as for a car being repo'ed... it does seem a bit supicious that they'd repo a car over just being one dollar short once.

unless it was specifically written in the contract that they would do this. in which case the company would be within their legal rights to do so.

'My Uncle also had a car from them and he was a day behing and they showed up to his house to repo his vehicle.' You were the one who mentioned family. My response came after you posted your complaint. As the others have said, whether $100 short or $3 short--you didn't live up to your end of the contract. If you still have that car, I'd suggest you get the payments caught up.

Every credit lending house I have ever worked for had a specific way that payments are posted to the system. For installment, the balance is keyed, with the payment amount. Each month the expected payment would roll due. Once payment was made, it would show that month as being paid. In order for the account to show paid for that month, the ENTIRE payment has to post. Otherwise, you are late and can fall behind. The payments are set contractually.

Omit even a cent, and your account can be sent to collection for failing to fulfill your contractual obligation.
