Princess Complaint - Downgraded for Australian Passengers
In October we traveled on the SUN PRINCESS on 35 day voyage from Sydney to Hawaii and back. We have travelled on quite a few Princess ships and found this trip was not by any means up to standard. The staff were exceptional and the ship clean but well worn. The food in main dining room was just okay but was repeticious. No lobster until last night. Excuse was "Out Of Season".
The buffet was a disgrace always overcrowded at normal meal times, and food was poor and the same every day. If you wanted something like smoked salmon or jelly you had to ask for it. Fruit was almost none existent and confined generally to melon or poor quality apples or bananas. Acturally ran out of bananas after 10days didn't see any more until last couple of days of cruise.
Entertainment poor, so poor that the cruise director appoligised at the end of the trip. The staff actually said that the whole trip had been downgraded for the Australian market.
We had booked on the sister ship DAWN PRINCESS for May next year to travel to the UK but cancelled imediately on our return to Australia. Will not chance it with Princess again.
