Manttra Pressure Cookers Complaint - Streamer Broke
VIRGINIA BEACH, VA. -- Had the cooker for maybe four years, used not very much, only during Holidays. This Thanksgiving while cooking with the pressure cooker it started spurting out an extra amount of stream. Found that the Stream spout was broke. How I don't know. Looked on the internet to find the part to order and find that this pressure cooker had been recalled in 2007 which I did not know of. Called the company to find out what they wanted to do with it or if there was some place to get it fixed with no cost since I did not break it. The person I talked with said it would cost me and I said no, it is defective and it should be your companies responsibility to handle the problem so what would you say I should do?
Throw it out I was told, I didn't understand and ask him to repeat, Throw it out, Do what? Thrown it out. That was am insult to me. Called the store that it was purchased and the person I talked with said if you have the box or the receipt bring it in and then she said let me talk with my manager. She came back and said there was nothing they could do. (Kohl's)
It is in the box and I probably could get the receipt from the person that gave it to me for a Christmas gift I think was around 2005.
