Netspend Complaint - Not Happy With Netspend
I signed up for netspend card debit for my son who is 15 so that he can own purchases. Weeks passed and I noticed that I did not receive the card for my son but I received the one for myself (I received no email from Netspend at this time). I emailed netspend asking about the card and after (two days) I received an email informing me to contact them about the card. I contacted them and was told that in order for my son to receive his card I would need to fax them: (1) Birth Certificate (2) Social Security Card (3) ID. WHAT THE H_____!!! They did not ask me to give this information when I signed up for the card. It's not like they are a regular bank. Searching online I searched for pre-paid cards for children and NETSPEND pops up. I would tell parents not to consider this card for their pre-teens too much hassle. I have since found other pre-paid cards for my teen but I wish I had know this before signing up. Netspend (TERRIBLE, TERRRIBLE, TERRIBLE)!!!
