Brookstone Complaint - 33% success rate for Brookstone
On December 15, 2009 I ordered 3 items from Brookstone. As of December 21, 2009 I found just HOW bad Brookstone can be.
I received 2 items in the mail. 1 was a wine opener (success), the second a 12in1 Emergency Companion which is a camping type tool (fail).
Now comes the fun part. I call up to ask about my 3rd item (no confirmation on it being shipped) and why the 12in1 Emergency Companion even arrived. I had ordered a 7in1 (Keychain) Emergency Tool AND Buckyball magnets. I was told the Buckyballs were simply cancelled (although when I ordered them they were in stock - FAIL). I was never contacted: no email, call, or even a smoke signal sent out. Then I was told the 12in1 unit was sent to me because they ran out of the 7in1 and this was a better deal.
I'm sorry but what company sends you something they THINK you might like? What company doesn't send you any notification when they have decided to cancel your order. This company does.
If I had been informed earlier, I could have shopped appropriately elsewhere. If I had known they just MAKE UP orders to send you, then I would have known never to order from Brookstone.com.
I now know, I will never use Brookstone again, and I'll be sure to spread the word of how bad they can really be. Good luck to everyone else with your orders.
PS - Order tracking does not work, no matter how many times you type in your order# or shipping confirmation#.
