Toys R Us Complaint - False Ad-Online vs in store price
CORONA, CALIFORNIA -- Toys R Us recently advertised (about 3 weeks ago) the imaginarium train table set for $129.99 on their website and in their flier mailed to the house. Online I was given the option to "find in store". I did and drove to the store the site suggested to purchase the item only to find it was labeled for sale at $179.99 in the store. Surely this was just an oversight, right? I was told by the manager that they do not match the price of their own website. Period. I went to the parking lot, used my iPhone and purchased the set online and paid $30 to have it shipped.
Yesterday the same set was on sale in the store for $129.99. I am so frustrated that I am no longer going to shop at Toys R Us. I called and now they tell me well we can adjust the price for you!! I tell the manager I bought it for 129.99 online and had to pay for the shipping and would they adjust for the difference for the inconvenience? NO, they will not. I will take all of my business elsewhere and advise friends and family to do the same. I will go to Target or buy from Amazon in the future.
