Chris Sharpless, L.L.C. Complaint - Runaway Roofer - Roof Replacement after Storm Damage

Review by syd041 on 2009-12-23
BELTON, MISSOURI -- Chris was hired to tear off and replace our roof. He was given a deposit, removed some shingles and underlayment, replaced it with roofing felt, and disappeared. After six weeks of calling and waiting and rain, we now have damage to nearly every ceiling in our home. He is still getting permits in the city, so beware.

No wonder he formed his company as an L.L.C. (Limited Liability Corporation.) He probably knows he can't handle the jobs correctly. You are probably going to have to sue him.

is the employee/owner's full name in the company name?
if not, the use of the full name is against the TOS here

I would file local BBB and Attorney general complaints. The BBB because a contractor relies on reputation and people may check his report as due-diligence. The AG just so they have a complaint on file. Alone it may or may not cause an investigation, but combined with other(s), they may get involved. After that, I would speak to a lawyer regarding corresponding with him for resolution and or filing suit. Either needs to require him to address the subsequent indoor ceiling damage as well.
