He claimed he's on alibaba.com and diytrade.com.

He pretends to sell products and asks people to send him money through western union. He tells them to put in the receivers section your wife's name or the name of someone you know. He says that is the "safe thing" to do. he also ask's for:

Sender Name:
Receiver Name:
MTCN #: Country
Amount:

don't give him or anyone that ask for that type of information anything. They're a scammer. Protect yourself people and stay safe.

Seems like Jarius saw your coming. Did you even research his company before sending him money? Anyone who wants your to send them money western union should raise a red flag. If you've lost thousands through western union before, then why would you keep doing it? Seems like you don't learn from your mistakes.

No this was the first time i used western union but I've lost nearly a $1,000 from the scamming business. and if you do research, i'm not the only one. The reason I am doing this is to warn others. I am new to the wholesale business and there are many like me that have been scammed and many that will be scammed if they are not warned. i've did research but he didn't appear anywhere on the computer as a scammer. i've also contacted alibaba and he was on it and doing fine as far as i understand. but he was a scammer. So i am doing this more to warn others. and yes, I did learn greatly from this. thanks for your comment.

K..wait, what?! This guy obviously gave you Western Union instructions that should have sent up about a million red flags, even if it was your first ever online purchase. You fell right into his trap, even though you KNEW his instructions were fishy.

You clearly didn't do the research you claim to have done. That particlaur scam has been around for YEARS. You can read about it on at least a sozen sellers/small business advise sites.

Wow you guys really do read these things. I'm glad you all are reading them and yes I understand what you all are saying but I only did this because there are many more that have done what i did. i only did this to warn others.

watcher, it is good that you are warning others, I agree. However, I really wish everyone would have to take a class or something in order to purchase anything online these days. Some folks just see "good deal" and refuse to notice red flags or bombs going off warning them of a huge, obvious scam.

99% of the time, I would NEVER send anything western union to anyone. I've only used Western union twice in my life. ONce when a friend of mine was in an emergency and needed money, and once when I purchased a used car and wrote a check, me being an idiot using my OLD checks...make a long story short I told the guy I would send him the money western union. Other than that, if someone youve never met in your life wants you to pay for goods or services before you recieved them using western union, its pretty obvious that something is up. Western Union transfers offer little to no recourse. Its basically like sending someone cash.
